Advisory services
We offer you competent and reliable advice on all questions relating to HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs).
We help with risk assessment and provide testing advice. We advise on different protection strategies such as safer sex, safer use, protection through therapy and PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis).
We address fears of infection, explain ways of transmitting HIV and provide information about the current status of HIV therapy.
We offer psychosocial advice, especially when it comes to questions about sexuality, relationships, sexual and gender identity (e.g. coming out).
We will advise you confidentially and, if desired, anonymously.
***Disclaimer***
In our consultation we work with an accepting attitude.
This means that we talk openly and respectfully about topics such as drug use and sexuality.
We provide advice that is gender-, inter*- and trans*-sensitive as well as anti-racist. This also means that we respect self-descriptions and take them into account in the consultation.
We try - as far as possible in the team - to offer peer advice. We currently have the option of being advised by a woman and a queer man upon request.
